Southview Baptist Church exists to glorify God by making and maturing disciples who are becoming like Jesus Christ. Each of our ministries are designed to help each person in our church family become that kind of disciple. Programs for adults, teens, and children focus on biblical teaching, outreach, and fellowship. It is our desire that each program be a tool that the Holy Spirit uses to mold each of us into the image of Christ.

Our Articles of Faith are readily available if you would like to know in detail our doctrinal beliefs.

We at Southview Baptist Church believe

In a Triune God:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In the Word of God which is all sufficient and our authority for faith and practice.

In the Grace of God which provides salvation freely to all who receive it through repentance and faith.

In the Church of God which is the assembly of believers seeking to fulfill the purpose of the church as given in the New Testament.

Sunday morning attendance is between 30-50 people. Dress trends toward business-casual, though you can find anything from khakis to suits, sandals to heels.

On Sunday morning at 9:15am we come together for an hour of Sunday School and Adult Bible Study , in which we learn about God's Word and its application to all areas of life.

Following that, we begin our Sunday morning service at 10:30 AM.  During this time, we sing songs, offer prayers of praise and confession to God, hear Scripture read, and give our offerings and tithes.

Preaching at Southview is expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular Biblical passage. Sermons usually last between 40-50 minutes and are packed with material for reflection.

On a regular basis, our sermon series alternate between the Old and New Testaments. All preaching is gospel-driven.  A typical Sunday morning service is finished by 12:00.

Our Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services are structured more like a small group Bible study with opportunity for questions and discussion.

The music we sing at Southview Baptist Church is a blend of old and new. We love the doctrinally rich hymns and we find blessing in new choruses.  Our goal in music is to glorify God by upholding music that is doctrinal in its wording and conservative in its arrangement.
